LookFabuluxe SpotLight: The FAB Tiffany Thigpen September 06 2017, 0 Comments

1. Introduce yourself to our FAB readers:

I am Tiffany Lynn. Wife and Mom of 5 awesome kids. I'm part of the cast of Lifetimes Bringing Up Ballers and co-owner of Big Thig Customs and Auto Repair. I also host events/parties and speak on panel discussions.

2. What or who inspires you:

My husband and my kids inspire me. They remind me everyday who I am and why I do what I do. If I ever have any doubts or worries they bring me back to reality. It's because of them that I go so hard and strive to make every day a successful day.

3. What advice would you share with those who are pursuing their dream:

Always dream bigger. Don't stress about the things you can't change and focus on the things you can. Always keep good people around that lift you up and not drag you down. Stay focused on YOUR goals and don't let anyone side track you or tell you it's not achievable. And last, always stay humble and treat others with respect. You never know who you may come across or who's watching you. A positive reputation will get you far.

4. Discuss a professional challenge and how you overcame it:

The biggest challenge that I face is time. There's just never enough of it and it's very hard to manage. I have people everyday that demand my time. And trying to figure out where I need to be and at what time becomes very overwhelming. Especially when I have a family that I also need to help move around daily. Most of my meetings and events are in the city of Chicago or even sometimes out of state so the commute takes up a lot of time as well. The way I deal with it and try to keep everything on track is I write it down everywhere and keep notes in my phone. And when I say everything I mean everything. Even if it's just going to the movies with my husband. Because God forbid I accidentally schedule a meeting or event during a time I promised I would be with my family. I really try to keep it balanced so that I still get to spend plenty time with my babies. I have 3 places that I record events. I have a board at home, a planner in my purse and then in my phone. I know it seems like a lot but I've gotten in the habit of it and it prevents me from forgetting anything and keeps my life organized so I'm not stressing.

5. What is the hardest thing about being in the spotlight?

I think the hardest thing is people have said they felt intimidated by me and didn't want to approach me because I was on tv or because I have a strong personality. I'm part of the stereotype that people that are on tv just don't want to be bothered and that is so not me. I love meeting new people. I love to network and support other businesses. There are fans that I've met that I'm friends with now. I'm just like anyone else. If you reach out to me on social media I will respond. If anyone needs help I'm always willing to do what I can. That was me then and that is me now. I won't let anything or anybody change me.

6. What is next for your brand/business in 2017-2018?

I'm working on so much I don't know where to start lol. I think the biggest thing is that I'm working on a new reality tv show concept with some new people and I'm really excited about it. I'm also in the process of setting up blogs for busy mothers on the go, like myself, and also one for mothers of athletes. I will have a YouTube channel as well. I am also working on putting together a discussion panel that will travel to different cities and talk about how parents can help get their kids to the next level of sports. Not a lot of parents have the right info or resources. I always keep myself open to other opportunities as they come. Please make sure to follow me on social media to check out what I have going on.
